Asia Centre organise à Singapour une conférence sur la Chine en partenariat avec l’East Asian Institute (EAI) de la National University of Singapore (NUS), et avec le soutien du Centre d’analyse, de prospective et de stratégie (CAPS) du ministère des Affaires étrangères. Des experts français et asiatiques s'attacheront à analyser la manière dont les Etats d'Asie du Sud-est perçoivent et s'adaptent à la montée en puissance de la Chine. La conférence se concentrera autour de cinq thèmes : la politique intérieure chinoise, les ajustements dans la politique étrangère des voisins face à la Chine, l’évolution du paysage économique, la modernisation de l’Armée populaire de libération, et enfin l’attitude des voisins de la Chine face à la stratégie du « pivot » américain.
